One-of-a-kind glass engravings for one-of-a-kind people

About the Artist

Margaret Stewart is a self-taught free-hand custom glass engraver. She has a special love for wildlife, engraving tigers; waterfowl and other birds like peregrines, hawks and pheasants; dolphins; and lots of fish, deer and wolves.

Click for larger view. Margaret’s artistry has been given to First Lady Barbara Bush and other political leaders and is in the private collection of the Prime Minister of Australia. Other lucky people include newly honored Eagle Scouts, important clients as thank you gifts, and folks like you and me.

Stewart Design’s work has been displayed at local restaurants. She’s participated at Minnesota shows like Wild Life and Garden Art Show, The St. Paul Sportsman Show and The Arabian Horse Show. She has been featured in the International Magazine of Wildlife Art.

Margaret is as excited to have her work appreciated by First Lady Barbara Bush as knowing some grandmother is thrilled with her crystal plate showing the dolphins she loves so much.

Since the September 200l tragedy, Margaret has put her hand to engraving a series of America’s Bald Eagles. It just seemed like the right thing to do.

Margaret is proud of her accomplishments and is a fierce perfectionist. Several years ago she was injured in an auto accident and was unable to do the intricate free-hand engraving. Now with the help of a massage therapist and chiropractor, she can again use her arm and hand. The world is happy to have her gifts available to all of us again.

Stewart Designs is located in south Minneapolis, Minnesota.
